Music is the world
Music plays an important role in fostering the development of young people. Freies Gymnasium Zürich offers a wide range of music activities to satisfy the most varied requirements and tastes.
Students who enjoy singing can join the school choir. The goal of the choir is to perform a diverse repertoire of music, from classical to modern, in large concerts - sometimes in collaboration with the drama society.
"FGZ-Horns" is a wind ensemble with piano that is dedicated to playing and interpreting modern music.
Freies Gymnasium Zürich is also home to a variety of rock bands which devote their time to exploring a wide range of music and styles to correspond to their individual taste in music. They perform regularly at school events, such as opening ceremonies and Matura celebrations.
