Personality and competencies
Our teachers are committed to fulfilling their role as educators. Their authority is based on their personality and their competencies in the fields of education, their special subject and didactics. They are fully aware that the quality of the school depends substantially on the standard of their lessons.
At the same time, they recognise that they have a role to play within the school community; they take on certain responsibilities outside lessons and are also committed to the development of the school. In return they feel supported by a school community, which tolerates weaknesses and respects their personalities.
Continuing education and training is the way to ensure that our teachers’ special subject and pedagogic competencies remain superior. Consequently our teachers are prepared to reassess their teaching on a regular basis and to have it assessed by others.
