Our students

FGZ has around 550 students, from primary class 5 to the Matura year. They choose between a monolingual or bilingual education path and opt for one of four Matura profiles in the upper Gymnasium. Outside the classroom, they participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities or in the student organisation.

The current SO board

Student organisation and its board

The active participation of students in school decisions is important to us. It not only strengthens school quality, learning atmosphere and identification with the FGZ, but also promotes a sense of community and is a sign of the appreciation of individuality – a central goal of the FGZ. In this way, we support our students in growing into independent and responsible young adults.

The SO board consists of eleven members and heads the SO parliament, in which two representatives from each class sit. The members have the right to vote in the teachers' committee, work on school committees and thus actively contribute to the further development of the school. At the same time, they promote communication between the students and the teachers.

The student organisation represents the interests of the student body and creates an active school life. It organises school events, projects and social initiatives that promote cohesion.

Student organisation projects

Celebrate the community at the FGZ. Whether at the school party, at Halloween, in a Christmas atmosphere, at the graduation dinner for high school students or at the lower school party – the FGZ lives from its unique school community. Such occasions create vivid memories and strengthen solidarity.
