Closer to practice, closer to life: The Matura is to be updated. Most schools try to do this by overloading the already full curriculum with extra duties. FGZ has a different, forward-looking approach: the "Matur+".

"Matur+" stands for: inspiring modules, big ambitions, curiosity and thirst for knowledge, theory and practice, experience in research and placements, independent thinking and, above all, action.

Dreaming, planning, researching, experimenting, realising and presenting – this is how the phases of the project half-day can be summarised. What has been a fixed part of the timetable in V5 for ten years now will also be tried out in the Langgymnasium from the spring semester of 2025.

In line with our mission statement, the focus is on the individual strengths and interests of the students. With the support of two teachers, they immerse themselves in a topic for a semester, gain practical experience, and learn how to implement their own project from A to Z.
