As a school, we place particular importance on the protection of your personal data. Trust and transparency are important foundations in this respect. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy.
In cooperation with our hosting providers, we make every effort to protect the databases as much as possible from outside access, data losses, misuse or falsification.
We would like to point out that data transfer on the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of your data as described below. It is possible to visit this website without registering. When you do visit, data, such as pages viewed, files accessed, the date and time of access, etc. is stored on the server for statistical purposes; this data cannot be directly linked to you.
Personal data – in particular your name, address or email address – are collected on a voluntary basis insofar as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Processing of personal data

    lit. c) Processing of personal data to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject under any applicable law of the EU or under any applicable law of a country in which the GDPR applies in whole or in part.
    lit. d) Processing of personal data in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.
    lit. f) Processing of personal data in order to safeguard our legitimate interests or those of third parties, unless the fundamental freedoms and rights and interests of the data subject prevail. Legitimate interests are, in particular, our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data as long as necessary for the respective purpose. In the case of longer-term retention obligations due to legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

Third party services
This website uses Google Maps to embed maps, Google Invisible reCAPTCHA to protect against bots and spam, and YouTube to embed videos.
These services provided by the American company Google LLC include cookies, as a result of which data will be transferred to Google's servers in the USA. We assume that the use of our website does not, in and of itself, result in tracking of your personal data.

Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you have provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up enquiries. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we require your name and an email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided, and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data will be collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to uninvolved third parties.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of this data and the email address, as well as its use for sending the newsletter, at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.

FGZ registration form
After receiving a personal PIN code, you can register for admission to the FGZ using an application form on a password-protected page on our website. The future pupil's data and that of the parents and guardians is collected. By using the PIN code and logging in via our website, you also agree to the privacy policy on behalf of your child. The personal data from the registration form will be stored by us. This data will be automatically deleted if the entrance examination is not passed or if your child does not enter the school for any other reason.

Alumni FGZ entry registration form
If you register as a member of Alumni FGZ via this website, personal details (e.g. gender, title, name, address, contact details, year of birth, leaving year, etc.) will be required. This data will be processed and stored by us and the Alumni-FGZ Association for the purpose of your registration.
When registering, all data is collected that is also collected for non-registered visitors to our website. In addition, we collect data that is generated during user interaction with our system. This saves contact details and images that you enter or upload in the system. Messages you send to other members, comments you make on the platform, groups you join, your tags and your participation in events are also stored. To regularly improve the relevance of mailings, we record whether you have opened and clicked on email newsletters. We reserve the right to contact you on our behalf or on behalf of the Alumni Association for the purpose of alumni surveys.
We collect all of the above data to fulfil our contractual obligations to you as a member of the Alumni Association and to pursue the purposes of the Association. To fulfil all obligations, your name, a postal address, an email address and your year of leaving year are required as a minimum. Without the provision of this data, membership of the Alumni Association is not possible. All other data is voluntary and enables the Alumni Association and other members to contact you more easily. You can view the data stored about you in the settings area of your profile. This allows you to obtain information about the stored data. You also have the option of having your data deleted in the settings area. Based on the purpose of the Alumni Association, your contact details will be made available to other members of the Association. All personal data will be stored during your membership of the Alumni Association and deleted after you leave the Association. Exceptions are your name and year of leaving, which are stored indefinitely and are visible to Alumni FGZ members.
From time to time, the Alumni Association will contact you via email to keep you up to date about current developments in and around the Association. You have the option to object to the receipt of such newsletters, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter or email. Should it be necessary for the fulfilment of the Association's duties (e.g. to convene a general meeting), emails will be sent to you even if you have objected to receiving newsletters in general.

Right to information, deletion and blocking
You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing, as well as the right to correct, block or delete this data. You can contact us for this at any time at the address given in the legal notice and for further questions regarding personal data.

Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps. This allows us to show you interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function conveniently. When you visit this website, Google is notified that you have accessed the corresponding sub-page of our website. Google Ads
This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have accessed our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The Conversion Tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website when the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can detect that the user clicked on the ad and was directed to this website. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked using the website of Adwords customers. Google Web Fonts
This website uses what are known as web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. Newsletter – Mailing service provider Eyepin
The newsletter is sent using the EU-based mailing service provider Eyepin. You can view the privacy policy of the mailing service provider here. Eyepin guarantees to comply with applicable European data protection laws.
The mailing service provider is used on the basis of our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 para. 3 clause 1 GDPR.

YouTube functions are integrated on this website. Plugins of the video portal Vimeo of Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA are integrated on this website.
